Background

I chose a short Brazilian piece of music with driving rhythmic percussion to provide the underlying structure for my visualization. The music is titled "Sambadrome" by Funk 'n Lata.

My visualization is a combination of video I shot of a kinetic sculpture at the Children's Museum in Portsmouth, NH and a series of brief iconic assemblages which build and disappear in a synchronous relationship to the rhythmic patterns of the music. The concurrence of these separate yet connected visual layers has the effect of competing for your attention at times while certain layers seem to disappear and reappear as the sequence progresses.
