Proximity Speaks at Adobe MAX 2009

June 12, 2009- On the heels of several successful engagements, Adobe asked Proximity Lab to return to speak at Adobe MAX 2009 in Los Angeles. Proximity Lab presents our work on Adobe Postcards, an AIR application that allows kids to create photo collages. Kids can add stickers, unique photo frames, text, drawings and other effects and then animate, share and print their creations. Animated versions of the photo collages can even be set to music.

Adobe approached Proximity Lab last year to propose an AIR-based application for kids to demonstrate key features Adobe wanted to promote. Proximity Lab proposed several ideas, including a photo collage and mark-up tool that could be presented in both printed and animated forms. The Proximity Lab team proceeded to develop feature specifications, technical architecture and design concepts and was responsible for all development and implementation of the final product.

Prior to working on Adobe Postcards, Adobe hired Proximity Lab to develop Learning Lab, an AIR application that combines curriculum development tools for teachers with unique text and photo-based creation tools for students. Adobe invited Proximity Lab to speak at Adobe MAX in San Francisco last year to discuss our work on Learning Lab.

The session is titled "Lessons Learned from Building an Online Photo Scrapbooking Application with Adobe AIR" and will be available at Adobe TV.
